Sinbad the Sailor
'To find a pearl, you must jump into the sea…’

Our tale opens in Baghdad, where old man Sindbad
unfolds the story of his miraculous voyages…
how he was tossed on the winds of fortune to
ride on the back of a whale, fly with the
giant rokh bird, whose wings blot out the sun,
and slip away from the slobbering ogre.

In Garlic's production, the dreamlike quality of the tale is interwoven with the manipulation of everyday objects to create a rich and strange celebration of the senses.

Violin, talking drum and shadows take us on a journey, where puppets appear out of nowhere, and nothing is what it seems.
